The countdown is now underway to this year’s Erewash Triathlon . . . one of Erewash Borough Council’s biggest events on the sport and health calendar.
The event is now in its eighth year and continues to attract hundreds of competitors from across the country and from Europe as the triathlon sport becomes ever more popular.
This is year set to be bigger and better than ever as Erewash Borough Council teams up with East Midlands triathlon specialists Punishing Events to stage the event at West Park Leisure Centre in Long Eaton on Sunday 16 August.
The 2015 event is expected to be another full filed, so anyone wanting to take part is urged to enter as soon as possible. Anyone aged 15 years and over can enter the event, which always attracts people of all abilities from the complete novice through to seasoned triathletes.
The Erewash Triathlon features a 400m swim, a 10-mile road bike ride and a 5km run within West Park.
