Take a walk on the wild side at Erewash Museum’s autumn fair!

Creepy creatures and feathered friends will all be part of a day of autumn activities at the award winning Erewash Museum on Saturday 19th November.

Wildlife Workshops return to the Museum by popular demand, giving visitors of all ages the chance to meet some furry and exotic friends - including Petal the tarantula!

The family fun event will run between 11am and 3pm and will also offer the chance to have a go at making a bird or bat box to keep garden residents happy over the winter months.

Councillor Mike Wallis, Erewash Borough Council’s Lead Member for Culture and Leisure, said:

“Our wildlife events are enjoyed by children and adults alike and this event will offer another great chance to see animals and creepy crawlies up close - and learn more about them at the same time. The whole day will be a fantastic outing for all the family.”

A small charge of £1 per child will be made for animal handling and is bookable on the day.

Refreshments, served by the Friends of the Museum, will be available in the Hayloft.

Erewash Museum is situated in Ilkeston town centre, a short walk from the Market Place. Opening hours are Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10am until 4pm. Admission is free.
